Jacquemart-André Museum

This late nineteenth century mansion was once inhabited by a couple of aesthetes who gathered an impressive collection of artworks that stands out for its eclecticism and quality. Before her death with no heirs, Nelie André bequeathed her mansion with its entire collection of artworks to the Institut de France, with the obligation to maintain it in its original state and open it to the public. We now have the privilege of being able to visit the privacy of her apartments furnished and decorated according to the style and the taste of the period.
